To further expand the educational offerings of Alxa Desert Global Geopark and consolidate local resources for youth science education, Alxa Desert Global Geopark Administration visited the Alxa Camel Culture Museum on December 19 for an immersive study and exchange program.
Guided by the museum’s director, the delegation explored various exhibition halls, including Introduction Hall,Camel Evolution & Origins Hall,Camel Culture Hall,Camel Industry Development Hall,Camel Products Exhibition Hall.Through hands-on experiences, the team gained insights into camel evolution, distribution, and cultural significance, deepening their appreciation for the enduring spirit of camels and the region’s rich heritage.
The visit concluded with a round table discussion, laying a solid foundation for future initiatives, including Developing a Camel Culture Educational Base within the Geopark, Designing specialized study routes, Crafting interactive curricula for student programs.This collaboration marks a key step in enriching the geopark’s science tourism and cultural education initiatives.
