Haisenchulu is one of the typical regions to study the aeolian process in North China. and was formed by wind transformation on exposed The granite in the region was formed in Jurassic period~150-180 million years ago, which the exposed bedrock have been shaped into  fantastic appearances look like "Monkey King Frolicking", "Piggy Zhu Bajie Sleeping Soundly" and '"Agle Expanding Wings".
