"Beautiful Desert" Unites with "First of the Five Mountains" Launches Sisterhood of the Global Geopark: Mutual Promotion and Announcement

In order to fully leverage the functions and responsibilities of the Global Geopark, and to facilitate in-depth cooperation among Global Geoparks, on the morning of February 22, the Alxa Desert Global Geopark and Taishan Global Geopark jointly launched the "Sisterhood of the Global Geoparks - Mutual Promotion" ceremony at the Tianwai Square in Mt.Taishan.

WANG Xiaodong, the Party Committee Member, Deputy Director of the Forest and Grassland Bureau of Alxa League, and MA Shengping, the Party Committee Member and Deputy Director of the Taishan Geopark Administration, together participant the ceremony, and unveiled the plaque and delivered addresses at the ceremony's inauguration.  were HUANG Tianbing, the Director of the Alxa Desert Global Geopark Administration and the staff from both Global Geoparks, visitors,witnessing this moment, sharing in the celebration of this joint initiative.

It is initiated by the Alxa Desert Global Geopark, with the subject of "Sisterhood of the Global Geoparks - Mutual Promotion and Announcement". The event has received strong support and enthusiastic response from the Taishan Global Geopark. This mutual promotion and announcement has opened a new chapter of reciprocal exchanges of tourists, information sharing, promotional collaboration of geoheritage and cultural heritage, and resource sharing between the two. It is a vivid embodiment of the shared and collaborative development concept promoted by the Alxa Desert Global Geopark, and a powerful alliance of unique resource advantages and advanced management experience between the two Global Geoparks.

During this event, the Alxa Desert Global Geopark showcased a total of 52 photographic works, vividly presenting the unique geoheritage resources and historical and cultural background of China's most beautiful desert - the Alxa Desert Global Geopark, thus illustrating the natural ecosystem of the "mountain, water, forest, field, lake, grass, and sand" life community.

Moving forward, both parties will continue to adhere to the principles of equality and mutual benefit, further strengthening cooperation in areas such as geological heritage protection, scientific research and popular science, and tourism promotion. They will work together to create a new era of win-win cooperation, enhancing the global recognition and influence of the Global Geoparks. This partnership aims to support rural revitalization and the high-quality development of local tourism economy, contributing to a sustainable and prosperous future.
