In alignment with the principles outlined in the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, to strengthen capabilities in popular science education and enhance the professional expertise and operational proficiency of all staff members, the Alxa Desert Global Geopark Administration conducted a practical training program for TikTok educational video production from April 22 to April 27. A total of over 30 participants, including staff from the Alxa Desert Global Geopark Administration, and 3 administration branches , and science communicators, engaged in hands-on training.  A team of three professionals - a director, a scriptwriter, and a videographer were invited - to oversee the entire process of educational video production. By visiting Badain Jaran, Tengger, and Juyanhai within the geopark, participants conducted practical training and demonstrations in the production of educational videos, scriptwriting, and interviews with experts, focusing on the geotourism sites of various types within the geopark.

Following this comprehensive training exercise, the Alxa Desert Global Geopark Administration has identified key highlights in science popularization efforts and talent among the various banners. Looking ahead, the focus will be on leveraging the power of online science education effectively. The network-based science popularization teams will be cultivated as a crucial new force, utilizing educational video clips and live streaming to disseminate positive energy, enhance scientific credibility, and offer more accessible services to the general public, thereby boosting the overall scientific literacy of the populace. Widespread dissemination of geological knowledge, storytelling about our planet, and promoting high-quality development of contemporary science education endeavors is a priority. The aim is to produce a range of influential and impactful science education materials that resonate with their audience.

Moreover, through live streaming, the Administration will showcase the fascinating aspects of Alxa to the global, highlighting its unique cultural heritage, desert expeditions, sand industry, pastoral tourism, agricultural and livestock products, and other distinctive resources. This will attract external attention to Alxa Desert UGGp, supporting rural revitalization efforts and contributing to the growth of the local economy.
