In preparation for the World Earth Day 2023 science education and awareness campaign, in line with the Alxa Desert Global Geopark's initiative of mutual promotion and publicity, the Alxa Desert Global Geopark actively collaborated with 29 other Global Geoparks, including Danxiashan UGGp and Yadangshan UGGp, to produce a dedicated World Earth Day Global Geopark promotional video. The video features the themes of Earth Day activities, the geographical locations, significant geological landmarks, and geopark profiles of these Global Geoparks and some national parks.

From April 17th to April 21st, the Alxa Desert Global Geopark Administration launched a coordinated promotional campaign across numerous online and offline platforms to build anticipation for the 54th World Earth Day. The campaign involved：1. Joint Promotions and Publicity Campaigns: The Administration worked in tandem with 29 other Global Geoparks, to conduct cross-promotion activities. They continuously played the Earth Day-themed promotional video at these locations, showcasing the grand landscapes and cultural history of the Alxa Desert UGGp. 2. Production and Distribution of Alxa Desert Educational Seminars PPT: How did the deserts in Alxa form?  The Administration entrusted these 29 Global Geoparks to conduct geopark lectures within their respective geopark territory. These sessions included the Earth Day-themed promotional video and the PPT, which detailed the formation and evolution of the Alxa Desert, thus amplifying the influence of science education and spreading knowledge about Earth Sciences.3. Promotion campaign in the city center: The Earth Day-themed promotional video was played on a loop on large screens in city center. This aim was to attract more public participation and interest in the Global Geoparks and the preservation of our planet.4. Leveraging New Media Platforms: The Administration took advantage of social media platforms like public accounts and video platforms to publish and organize the sharing of Earth Day promotional videos, continuously enhancing the impact of World Earth Day.

As always, Alxa Desert Global Geopark Administration has effectively utilized a variety of promotional opportunities to actively disseminate geological science education across society. This has emphasized the importance of loving the Earth, fostering a harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature, and collectively safeguarding our shared planet.
