In order to learn from geopark management experiencesand comprehensively enhance the management level of the Alxa Desert UGGp, a delegation of 10 staff from Alxa Desert UGGp visited Dali-Cangshan UGGp in Yunnan from May 15th to 19th for field study, exchange, and discussions.

The delegation adopted a method of "seeing, asking, learning, and discussing all the way" to gain a deep understanding of the advanced concepts and experiences of Dali-Cangshan UGGp.  The delegation made sequential site visits to points of geological sites including the Great and Small Stone Forests, Naigu Stone Forest, the Geopark Museum, ecological corridors, Mount Cangshan, the Stone Gate, Guangming Village, and SanTa.

During the exchange meeting, the Alxa Desert UGGp had detailed exchanges with Dali-Cangshan UGGp on various topics, such as interpretation system, the geotourism development, geological scientific research, popular science promotional activities, geopark museum, strengthening inter-geopark external exchanges, and mutual promotion of sister-geoparks. Both parties expressed their intention to further deepen cooperation and exchanges, enhance learning, complement each other's strengths, and jointly develop respective geoparks.
