On June 4, 2023, the training personnel from Alxa Desert UGGp participated in the "World Environment Day Theme Science Popularization and Study Tour Activity" organized by the Danxiashan UGGp. During the period, the staff members from above geoparks erved as teaching assistants, actively participating in the science popularization and study tours, promoting public environmental awareness, and focusing on the conservation of ecosystems and climate change. They assisted professionals from the Shaoguan Environmental Monitoring Center Station in demonstrating environmental monitoring equipment like noise and water quality monitors for primary school students on-site. They explained the concept of environmental monitoring and the importance of environmental protection in daily life, making the students understand the significance of environmental monitoring for both environmental conservation and human life. They collaborated with the host from the Shaoguan TV station to organize training for "Young Science Explainers," selecting the best young explainers. Through this process, aimed to improve the students' environmental awareness and their ability to spread environmental awareness to others. They promoted environmental protection concepts is promoted to the geopark visitors, encouraging them to bring back waste from the mountain to the visitors' center for exchangeing Danxiashan UGGp environmental protection souvenirs.

By participating in this event, the staff from the Alxa UGGp gained firsthand experience of the rich diversity, broad scope, and engaging nature of the science popularization activities at Danxiashan UGGp. This experience will serve as a foundation for the design, organization, and implementation of future science popularization and study tour courses when going back Alxa UGGp.
