On September 24, Deputy Director Peng Tao from the Alxa Desert UGGp Administration delivered an experience exchange session titled "The Experiences of Alxa Desert UGGp Helps Rural Revitalization" at the 2023 Construction and Management Business Seminar in Alxa League. Over 110 participants from various administrative districts across the province attended the training session.

Peng Tao explained that in recent years, the Alxa Desert UGGp has capitalized on its unique natural advantages and the brand strength of being a global geopark. Focusing on the preservation of geological heritages, it has initiated research, scientific education, and deepened both domestic and international cooperation and exchanges. This has further fueled the desire of both domestic and international tourists for "Heavenly Alxa". As a result, it has bolstered the Party Committee of the Administrative Region and the regional government's confidence and capabilities in turning the territory tourism industry into a pillar industry, thereby promoting rural revitalization.

Peng Tao outlined that in the future, the Alxa Desert UGGp will deeply implement the concept of "Lucid water and lush mountains are invaluable assets", accelerating the construction of geopark infrastructure and enhancing the quality of public services. The geopark will promote the integrated development of geology and tourism, delve into geological tourism educational resources, and launch a series of high-quality geological educational tourism routes. It will encourage and support local farmers and herdsmen to participate in geo-tourism through various means, turning geological advantages into economic, social, and cultural development benefits. The goal is to achieve a harmonious integration of tourism development, education, and improving living standards, unlocking greater benefits from green mountains and clear waters, and driving the high-quality development of Alxa's economy and society.
