Recently, the results of the 7th "Most Beautiful Earth Imprints" photography competition were announced. Jointly organized by the National Geopark Network Center, the Publicity and Education Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the Geological Society of China, the competition saw Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark win several prestigious awards including "Outstanding Works Award", "Annual Contribution Award", and "Excellent Photographer". These honors not only showcase the geopark's magnificent desert landscapes and rich geological resources, but also highlight its outstanding achievements in geoheritage conservation and science education.

The national competition attracted participants from 23 provinces across China, with organizers receiving 406 valuable entries featuring various types of protected areas including geoparks, mining parks, forest parks, and wetland parks.

Initiated in 2016 by the National Geopark Network Center, the "Most Beautiful Earth Imprints" program uses geoparks as key platforms to promote earth science development and geoheritage protection. The initiative aims to enhance public awareness of ecological civilization while guiding people to appreciate the beauty of geological features and natural ecosystems.
