To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network, the Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark Administration and Alxa Table Tennis Association jointly organized the first "Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark Cup" table tennis competition on April 13-14 at the Alxa Left Banner Stadium.

The activity attracted widespread attention and participation from table tennis enthusiasts across the region, with over 100 players from 28 teams registering for the event. During the competition, geopark staff educated participants about UNESCO Global Geoparks and Alxa's unique geological heritage through on-site displays and informational booths showcasing the park's remarkable landforms and geoscientific significance.
