On July 2, the Ejina Banner Forestry and Grassland Bureau, together with Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark and the local Mongolian Kindergarten, organized an educational field trip in the Populus Euphratica National Nature Reserve. This outdoor science activity brought a fun, interactive, and informative learning experience to the children.
The event took place in the Populus Euphratica Reserve and along the "Science Trail" in the Juyan Area of Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark. Over 30 Mongolian kindergartens, guided by their teachers, embarked on an exciting nature exploration."Do you recognize these plants in front of you?" the teachers asked gently. "Please take good care of these gifts from nature—these leaves are like the hands and feet of the poplar trees." Through such engaging guidance, the children learned about the rich biodiversity in the reserve and marveled at the vast, breathtaking landscapes of Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark.
This immersive experience planted the seeds of environmental awareness in the young minds, nurturing their understanding of ecological protection and love for nature.
