On July 10, Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark Administration hosted a symposium to honor gold medal-winning photographers from the 8th National "Most Beautiful Earth Imprint" themed photography competition.

The "Most Beautiful Earth Imprint" is a major nature photography event held annually around Earth Day (April 22). Organized by the CGN (Chinese Geopark Network ) with support from multiple departments, institutions and media partners, this year's 8th edition saw participation from 23 provinces across China. The organizing committee received 406 valuable entries showcasing various types of China's protected areas including Geoparks, mining parks, forest parks and wetland parks.

Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark Administration actively mobilized local photography enthusiasts to participate, submitting 51 high-quality works. Following the competition's evaluation criteria, Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark was honored with both the "Most Beautiful Geopark Award" and the "Annual Contribution Award." Notably, two photographs submitted by Ms. Wang Cuiling from the geopark won the "Gold Medal Photographer" and "Finalist Award" respectively.
