To enhance international cooperation and sustainable development of volcanic geoparks, the 5th China Volcanic Geopark Conference was held by the Ningde Forestry Bureau, Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark, and the China Volcanic Geoparks Alliance from August 23–26, 2024. Attendees included UNESCO Global Geopark Council representatives, experts, and geopark managers from around the world. Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark was invited to share its experiences in the conference.Deputy Director Humujiletu presented on Geological Research and Applications in Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark, covering topics such as desert geology, volcanic landforms, newly discovered Hawaiian-style volcanic craters, and the practical use of scientific findings. His speech received strong praise and lively discussions.  

Through this event, Alxa Desert Geopark boosted its visibility and gained valuable insights from other Geoparks. Moving forward, it plans to strengthen ties with the China Volcanic Geoparks Alliance, aiming to join and collaborate on volcanic Geopark conservation and sustainable development.
