To enhance the protection of avian resources, raise public awareness of biodiversity conservation, and promote bird-related science education in Alxa, the Alxa League Forestry and Grassland Bureau, in collaboration with Alxa Desert Global Geopark Administration and the Alxa Bird Conservation Association, organized a thematic training session titled "Protecting Avian Resources & Safeguarding Biodiversity" on November 6, 2024.
Over 50 participants attended, including representatives from the Alxa League Ecological Environment Bureau, Science and Technology Bureau, Helan Mountain Management Bureau, High-Tech Zone Rural Revitalization Office, Alxa Left Banner Forestry and Grassland Bureau, and local bird enthusiasts.

The training featured two keynote speakers:Mr. Li Yifan, President of the Zigong Birdwatching Association (Sichuan), delivered a lecture titled "What Makes a Bird?—Evolutionary and Ecological Roles of Avian Species." Using engaging visuals and simplified scientific explanations, he traced the evolutionary journey from dinosaurs to modern birds and highlighted the importance of avian habitat conservation.Mr. Shen Yumo, President of the Zigong Wildlife Conservation Association, presented "A Small City’s Approach to Nature Protection," emphasizing the critical role of birdwatching societies in preserving ecosystems and biodiversity.
The session combined vivid illustrations, interactive discussions, and practical case studies, offering a systematic overview of bird classification, ecological significance, and community-led conservation strategies.
