On March 17, the "Camel Traces of Alxa" Photography Exhibition took place, thanks to the teamwork of several groups. One of the main organizers, Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark helped plan the event. The exhibition used photos to connect the amazing geoheritages of Alxa desert with the culture and importance of camels, showing how people and nature can live together in harmony.

Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark is famous for its incredible landscapes, like wind-sculpted rocks and huge sand dunes, which made a perfect setting for photographers. The exhibition featured over 100 photos taken by 25 photographers. Most of the pictures focused on the Bactrian camel, also known as the "ship of the desert." The photos showed touching moments between camels and the people who care for them, as well as stunning natural sights like mega-dunes and desert lakes. The photographers explored deep into the Geopark, using their skills to capture how camels survive in such a tough environment. They also included famous geological features like massive dunes, the Gobi, and the Helan Mt., showing off the beauty and science value behind the landscape.

During the event, Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark also hosted educational activities by  science popularization and handing out science education booklets. They taught visitors about the park’s geological history, its efforts to protect the environment, and how camels help keep the desert ecosystem balanced. The exhibition aimed to promote eco-friendly tourism and brought together businesses, media, and other groups to support the idea of combining geology, culture, and tourism.
