On April 16, 2019, a training was carried out in Tonghu Lake of ADUGGp with topics on national history and culture combined with the landscapes in Tonghu Lake by several experts, who are invited and organized by ADUGGp.  This training is one of the major activities carried out of “4.22 Earth Day” science popularization week.  During the training session, ADUGGp not only shared the geopark concepts and objectives to more than 300 managers and staffs from Tonghu Lake, such as geopark development status, how to make a good use the geopark brand to better serve tourism development, but also popularize geoscience knowledge about geosites in Tonghu Lake, sand plants, Alxa Mongolian history and culture, folk customs, diet, etc.,

It not only helped the participants have a clear understanding of the Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark, but also plays a positive role in protecting the precious geological heritage resources, excavating the connotation of geological science and promoting the indigenous history and culture.
