In order to better popularize global geopark concepts, and to guide youth to explore the mystery of geo-science in Alxa, as well as to enhance the cooperation between the geopark and Mongolian primary schools in Alxa, series of activities were held by Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark.

New Educational Geo-science Gallery.  Written in Mongolian and English version and lots of colorful pictures, a new educational geo-science gallery is placed at school, which is 9 meters long, high 2.3 meters.  From the gallery, geological knowledge of ADUGGp, such as geological significance, rare natural characters, interesting geological phenomena in the desert, were illustrated to the students.

Geo-science Camp Activity.  To enrich the education methods, Administration for ADUGGp organized a geo-science camp activity with the theme of “Fulfilled Geo-heritage Protection and Cherish Living Environment from Our Daily Practice” in Alxa Zuoqi Mongolian primary school.  The students visited the ADUGGp Exhibition Center and the Geopark Main Monument Square and hiking in Tengger Desert.  Geopark guide answered many interesting questions raised by the kids, such as how to become a geopark, how many types of geoheritages, where water is from in the desert and how the canyon was shaped etc..  The students actively acted as a little owner of Alxa, advocating and spreading desert environmental protection concepts to others.  At the end, they all wrote down their best wishes for the geopark that they live in on the geo-science propaganda banner.
