On October 23rd, research and study education activity of "building our beautiful home”for primary and secondary school students was carried out in Alxa Youqi Sandy Botanic Garden. The Administration for Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark (Alxa Youqi Branch) as one of the organizers, was together with 235 school students, teachers and other administrators anticipating the activity.
The main content for the kids this time is to assist the staff of the Sandy Botanic Garden to clean up the withered verbena and weeds. With the joint efforts of students, teachers and all, clearing about 10,000m2 of verbena and weeds.
The purpose is let the school kids to respect for ordinary workers, to love work, life, and their own hometown. When participating in the greening and beautification of hometown, community, public health and other public welfare work, the awareness of public service, learn to work with others, cherish the fruits of labor is enhanced.
