On November 6th, the team of Administration for Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark visited Horse Mane Thread Embroider Tangka Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum.
This tradition Mongolian Tangka has been popular for over 300 years in Alxa, and was listed as Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region level intangible cultural heritage. Mrs. Gerile,is the inheritor states, “the addition of horse mane in Tangka shows that Mongolian people cherish horses and love of horses”.
Such traditional art does not only tell the historical changes in Alxa, but also spread the unique Alxa cultural to others and worldwide. It is the treasure asset for Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark.
