During the conference, Director Huang Tianbing of the Alxa Desert UGGp Administration reviewed and summarized the work done by the geopark in the year 2022, and outlined the key tasks for 2023. The meeting emphasized the commitment to fully embrace the concept of ecological civilization, guiding high-quality development through high-quality party building, and actively leveraging the brand impact of the geopark to make greater contributions to the overall development of the region. Each geopark administration branch engaged in discussions and shared experiences regarding the challenges and achievements in their areas of conservation, construction, and management.

The conference honored three outstanding team and six outstanding staff members. Deputy Director Wang Xiaodong, a member of the party leadership of the Forestry and Grassland Bureau, congratulated the honored collectives and individuals and provided in-depth analysis of the current situation. He made specific work requirements for the Alxa Desert UGGp: Firstly, the Alxa Desert UGGp is endowed with a rich variety of geological heritage resources, beautiful and mysterious natural landscapes, and many geological heritage resources that possess both domestic and international comparative and research value. Our immediate priority is to effectively conserve and utilize these precious geological heritage resources and natural landscapes. Secondly, we should promote the development concept of "shared governance and construction" to facilitate learning and exchange between geoparks, enhancing their recognition and influence. Thirdly, we need to further clarify our priorities by conducting detailed surveys of the geological heritage and scientific research. Lastly, we should continue to reform our working style, seize opportunities, and innovate our approach to expedite the establishment of a protected area management system centered on national parks, ensuring the sustainable and high-quality development of the geopark.

This meeting facilitated in-depth exchanges among various sectors of the geopark, fostering a shared understanding and commitment. It provided a clear direction for prioritizing the overall service and high-quality completion of geopark development and management tasks in future.
