On August 5-8,2019, a group of five administrators from Administration of Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark visited Keketuohai UNESCO Global Geopark in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which was signed twinning agreement with ADUGGp in 2014. 

During the 3-days visit, two groups discussed and exchanged the issues faced in the UGGp construction and shared useful experiences, conducted on site investigation of interpretation panels, popularization boards, geopark museum, exhibition hall etc.,  An exchange of each other’s science popularization books, geopark souvenirs and geological samples were carried out in the end, reaching further in-depth cooperation agreement.

Since the establishment of twinning agreement in May 2014, Keketuohai UGGp have been carried out practice exchange activities in Alxa in 2015.  This time, the exchange session improved the geopark network cooperation between members, and learn each other’s good practice, the similarity between two geoparks have brought perspectives on mutual assistance and mutual cooperation, targeting a sustainable development of each territory.
