On August 27th - 29th, 2019 , a group of 10 administrator of Dabieshan UNESCO Global Geopark (Huanggang, Hubei Province) visited Alxa Desert UNESCO Geopark Geopark for exchange and study.
The group visited some geosites in ADUGGp, such as Tengger Desert, Badain Jaran Desert, Moon Lake, geopark museum and Erribugai Valley. The administrators of each geopark exchanged experiences on UGGp revalidation, geopark management capability, geoheritage protection and conservation methods, scientific research and science popularization matters, geopark planning and how to retain sustainable development for the territory etc. An intention of establishing “sister geopark” was reached in the end.
