On October 18, 2019, "China Forest Tourism Festival 2019 " was held by National Forestry and Grassland Administration, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and Jiangsu Provincial Government.  The theme of this year’s festival is "Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets".  Badain Jaran Desert of Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark in Inner Mongolia, was voted as "The most beautiful desert in China"

China Forest Tourism Festival is held once a year since 2015.    Through the exhibition, promotion, exchange and discussion.  Further promote the sound and rapid development of tourism, and constantly  meet the growing needs of people for high-quality and diversified outdoor recreation in the new era.

ADUGGp is not only a national geopark in China, but also UNESCO Global Geopark (currently the only desert UGGp worldwide).  There are various types of geoheritages in the geopark, which have the characteristics of integrity, typicality and uniqueness, as well as high aesthetic value and scientific value.  There are desert, sand dunes, desert lakes, mountains, rivers, Gobi, wetland, canyon, wind erosion landform, paleontology, forest and grass, ancient cultural sites, etc. in ADUGGp.  It is a natural museum to study the formation, development and evolution of deserts, a textbook of man and nature in harmonious coexistence.  

During the forest tourism festival, ADUGGp has promoted itself to the local audiences.  Especially, on the aspects of rural revitalization, ecological poverty alleviation, establishment a beautiful city, ADUGGp has played a positive role, and will do as always does.
