As one of the popular science activities of Earth Day, Administration for Alxa Desert UNESCO Global Geopark (Ejin Branch) has organized a research and study camp “My home is in the Global Geopark”in Populus Forest of ADUGGp for Alxa primary schools kids, there were over 1150 school kids and teachers and 20 “desert angels”(geopark volunteers) participating the activity.

The research route is designed based on the safety and health of primary school kids, hiking around the "popular science pathway", the Populus forest wooden plank road and visiting intelligent exhibition hall.  Carrying out activities such as “ I am the geopark guide”, collecting specimen, Q&A contest etc..The kids guide were introducing to his/her school mates about the animals and plants in the Geopark.  The speakers were excited to tell, and the listeners were amazed by what the geopark had. 

Such research and study camp designed for kids are the good example on moving the class to outdoor, let the kids be proud of they are living in the ADUGGp while they are close to nature.  The Administration for ADUGGp will continue to organize such popular science activities for different ages, to carry out environmental and ecological education, to promote UGGp, to promote the rural revitalization strategy and implement vigorous development of Alxa.
